Martha Pitts Wood

Martha Pitts Wood, 90 of Montpelier, Virginia, passed away October 10, 2023. She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas B. Wood; her son, Mark Wood; daughter-in-law, Susie Wood; her parents, Norvell and Elizabeth Pitts; and sister, Betty Cobb.
She is survived by her son, Barry Wood (Sherrie); 6 grandchildren, Heather, Tiffany, Brittnay, Elizabeth Anne (Brian), Tommy, Jeff (Melissa); 7 great-grandchildren; her sister, Doris Wiltshire; a niece, Jean; and nephew, Mike (Charlotte); and many other family members and friends.
Martha and her husband Tom owned and operated The Art Market in Richmond for 50 years. She was also an avid knitter and crocheter for "From The Heart" and contributed hundreds of hats for the less fortunate.
The family will receive friends Saturday, October 14, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00AM in the Fine Creek Baptist Church, 3619 Huguenot Trail, Powhatan, VA 23139. Where a service will be held at 11:00 AM. 
In Lieu of Flowers memorial Contributions may be made to Gum Springs Methodist Church, 191 Cross County Road, Gum Springs, VA 23065 or Fine Creek Baptist Church.
