Mildred Shrader Blankenship

Mildred Shrader Blankenship, 88, of Powhatan, died August 27, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband Henry C. Blankenship, parents Walter and Eva Shrader and brother Hugh Shrader. She is survived by son, Ronnie Blankenship (Conway) and grandsons, Jay and Heath; son Gary Blankenship; daughter Donna Applebaum (Jack); sister Irene Lowe and brother Ben Shrader. The family will receive friends Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Bennett and Barden Funeral Home, 3215 Anderson Hwy, (Rte. 60), Powhatan. A funeral service will be held Friday, 11:00 a.m. at Red Lane Baptist Church, Powhatan. A graveside service will be held Saturday, 2 p.m. Sunrise Burial Park, Dublin, Virginia. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Red Lane Baptist Church's General Fund or a charity of your choice.
