Nan Llewellyn, 80, of Powhatan, beloved wife of Billy Lee Llewellyn, Sr., went to be with the Lord May 3, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Virginia Dorset and one granddaughter, Holly Llewellyn. She is survived her loving husband, Billy Lee Llewellyn, Sr.; three sons, Billy Lee, Jr., Michael Stanley, Franklin Thomas Llewellyn; two daughters, Nan Diana Cagle, Linda Jill Badarin; three sisters, JoAnn Lynn, Gail Smith, Susan Cox; eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Nan attended Midlothian High School where she was active on the staff paper, in Tri-Hi-Y, F.H.A., dramatics, library club, safety club, choral club, cheerleading, basketball and baseball. She married Billy in December of 1953. After raising their five children, she returned to college and obtained a degree in social work. She worked at several places including Tucker Psychiatric Hospital. In her early marriage she was an active member of Old Powhatan Baptist Church. Then she became active at Epiphany Catholic Church and did hospice work at Bon Secour Hospital. Later she attended St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Powhatan. She enjoyed vacationing with her family and traveling with her husband. She is also survived by three adorable puppies that she adored: Max, Precious and Toy. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 7pm in the St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 2480 Batterson Rd. Powhatan with a Christian Wake to follow at 7pm and where a Funeral Mass will be held 10am Friday. Interment Powhatan Community Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at bennettbardenfh.com
