NOLAND PREAS Born December 7, 1947 – Passed December 29, 2021
Noland was born in Arlington, VA and moved with his family to Goochland as a young child, where he lived his whole life. He married Gladys Bowles and they had two children, Wendy Barker (Steve) and son Michael. He had two granddaughters Melissa and Victoria who were his pride and joy. The only remaining sibling is Raymond Eugene Preas of Henrico.
Noland and his family were members of Perkin’s Baptist Church where he will be buried January 6, 2022. Due to Covid 19, there will be only a family graveside service. Noland had not been in very good health for the past fifteen years, but the Lord allowed him time to prepare to meet HIM in glory.
His faith was firmly in Jesus Christ alone and HIS finished work for all who believe and accept His free gift of eternal life. “Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to HIS mercy He saved us”.
Noland was a Certified General Motors Mechanic and worked in Richmond for two dealerships for many years. He later built and operated his own repair shop in Goochland County.
Noland was a firm business man and met what he said. He was honest and lived up to any and all commitments and enjoyed the fellowship of his neighbors and friends. He loved clean jokes and kidding around. He will be sorely missed by all he had fellowshipped with and loved for the past seventy-four years.
We will all miss this dear man and his unique style and gifts. Your prayers are appreciated by our family.
