Paul James Holder Jr.

On the Sunday afternoon of November 24, 2024 Paul James Holder Jr., 83 of Cumberland, VA passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Paul is predeceased by his parents Paul James Holder Sr. and Virgie Elizabeth Holder; siblings Nellie, Betty, Nancy, and Patsy and his grandchildren Lona, Aiden, JR, and Demetrius.

Paul is survived by his wife Elizabeth Holder; brother Herman; children Connie(Terry), Vickie(Joe), Virgie(Scott), Tammy, Buddy, Bobby(Kristen), Dayton(Liz), David, Bethanne, and Kimmy; grandchildren Trevor(Theresa), Ryan(Jessie), Josh(Coya), John(Whitney), LeAnne, Adam, CJ, Jordan, David Jr., Ethan, Ty, Nealie, Danny, Raelynn, DJ, Lexys, Gillyan, and Todd; great-grandchildren Jamison, Kayden, Zane, Nova, Vada, Castiel, Rowan, Lola, Aura, Elijah, Alyssa, Kaelyn, Madeline, JT, McKenzie, and Marley; as well as Dean(Karen), Ernest, Brenda and other numerous nieces and nephews who loved their uncle Jr.

Paul lived in Fairfax County and graduated from Osbourn High School in Manassas, VA. After graduation, Paul became an Industrial Pipe Insulator for Old Dominion Insulation for 20+ years after moving to Cumberland, VA in 1990.

He spent his free time farming or with family. He loved spending time in nature hunting and/or fishing.

A visitation will be held Friday, November 29th from 5 PM to 7 PM with a prayer service to follow at Bennett & Barden Funeral Home at 3215 Anderson Hwy, Powhatan Va. In lieu of flower,s the family asks donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital
