Paula Dickerson Cable

Paula Dickerson Cable, 72, of Powhatan, joined her mother in heaven as another Angel on Tuesday, September 18, 2024. 

Paula enjoyed spending time with loved ones and playing her daily game of bingo. She always looked forward to a new piece of jewelry when she won a game. She showed her love by giving gifts, whether it was baked goods or trinkets she found. It was always the small things that made her the happiest. She looked forward to daily visits from her special friend Mr. Bubba Majors. He made sure she had her daily Pepsi with ice and her snack drawer was always full. Their friendship was beyond special.

Paula was preceded in death by her mother, Eleanor Dickerson; brothers, Lewis Dickerson and Norman Dickerson and her little dog Rosey. 

She is survived by her daughters, Stephanie Cable Blair (Tim), Becky Cable Wells (Chip); grandchildren, Marah, Charlie, Mikayla, Miranda, Hailey, Marianna, Landon; great grandson, Cayde; brothers, Philip Dickerson (Page), Larry "Peanut" Dickerson (Judy). 

The family will receive friends 12 (noon) to 2 PM Friday, September 20, at Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, where her service will follow at 2 PM. Interment will follow in Red Lane Baptist Church Cemetery.

Amelia Health & Rehab has been a second family to Paula for the past 10+ years. Their love and kindness has been a blessing and will never be forgotten.
