Peggy Ann (Racer) Lewis, 1951-2024.

Peggy passed away peacefully on Monday, September 2, 2024, after a brief illness, surrounded by family.

She was born on May 12, 1951, in Richmond VA, the third child to Amelia and Addison Racer. She grew up in Powhatan, attending Huguenot Academy, graduating in 1969. She became a Licensed Practical Nurse and eventually got her degree as a Registered Nurse. She loved gardening and spending time with family and her animals, but happiest when with her grandchildren.

Peggy is survived by her daughters Enid McKinsey (Pyle) and Amanda Paige (Munro), grandchildren Addison, Patrick, William, Andrew, and Amelia; sisters Patricia Worsham and Pamela Alexander; nieces Laura, Shea, Sheri, and nephew Yogi, and her sons-in-law Iain Munro and Rick Pyle.

There will be a visitation from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm followed by a wake service at noon on Friday, September, 6th at Bennett and Barden Funeral Home, Powhatan, VA.
