Ralph Lee Snellings

Ralph "Dickie" L. Snellings, Sr., 78, of Powhatan, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, August 24, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, Aubrey Finley and Virginia Lou Snellings; brother, Butch; sister, Joan; and son, William Paul Snellings. Dickie is survived by his wife of 58 years, Pat Snellings; children, Tina Barden (Jeff), Lee Snellings (Debbie), Shelby Moore (Cooter); grandchildren, Cortney Moore (Buddy), Trey Snellings (Brittany), Tyler Hazelwood (Randi), Lauren Lindsay (Hunter), Austin Hazelwood (Hope); great-grandchildren, Caylee, Aubrey, Brantley Snellings, with two more on the way. Dickie enjoyed traveling to car shows, working on cars, as he was the owner and operator of S&S Auto, established in 1967, running (with his wife) the nursery at Holly Hills Baptist Church. But his passion was for his family and he looked forward to the family gatherings, whether it was for holidays or birthdays, he was the first to show up. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend who will be greatly missed. A graveside service will be held 11 AM Friday, August 26th, in Maury Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, 230 East Ohio Street, Suite 500, Chicago, IL 60611.
