68, of Powhatan, passed away suddenly December 2, 2015. He is survived by his wife, Lita Baird; Children Lee Ellis(Chad), Lyn Benitez (Jorge), Chris Baird (Gina), all of North Carolina, and Joe Baird (Erin) of Lynchburg; six siblings Ann Lang, Patrick Baird, Teresa Ripley, Bernadette Coleman, Bernie Baird and Christine Walsh, seven grandchildren, seventeen nieces and nephews and two great nieces. The family will receive friends on Monday, December 7th from 6 to 8 pm, at the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, 3215 Anderson Hwy.(Rt.60), Powhatan. Services will be held Tuesday, December 8th at 11:30am . Interment at Amelia Veterans cemetery following the service. Online condolences may be made at www.bennettbardenfh.com.
