Robert Allen Spence Sr (Bob) of Powhatan made the journey to heaven January 3, 2022.
He was born and raised in Bedford, Virginia.
Bob was a proud Army veteran. He loved to be outdoors and enjoyed camping, horse shoes, fishing, hunting and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife, Delray Spence; children April Spence Cox, Robert Spence Jr. / partner Theresa Hicks; David McGee, Richard McGee, Denise / partner Clay Smith, Melissa / partner Brian Hall, Crystal Highsmith; grandchildren Gabrielle, Anthony, Caden, Kaelynn, Jr, Cheyanne, Wyatt, Kadyn, RJ, Levi, Alexis, Elizabeth, Cristofer, Collin, Carter, Noah, Ethan, Tucker and John; brothers and sisters Betty Jean Tyree, Barbara Ballard and Johnny Spence; many nieces and nephews; special friends Bill and Jan, John Harris and Al Nash.
He is proceeded in death by his father William Spence; mother Lucille Goff Spence; brothers and sisters Reed Spence, Tilda Caldwell, Lillie Bowyer, Paul Spence; cousins Lawrence Brevo, Lee Whorley and many more.
We cried the day you left us, we gathered round to grieve. Go rest high up on that mountain, your safely home in the arms of Jesus.
He was a loving man that was loved and will be missed by all.
Family visitation will be held Monday, January 10th 2022, at 11:30 am and funeral service after at 1:00 pm at Bennett and Barden Funeral Home, 3215 Anderson Hwy, Powhatan, Virginia 23139.
