LAWSON, Robert "Bob" Oris, 78, of Powhatan, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on December 6, 2013. He is survived by his wife, Priscilla "Pat" Lawson; son, Timothy Shawn Lawson (Anna Marie) of Powhatan; daughter-in-law, Susan Lawson of Powhatan; sister, Lawanna Scott (Al) of Ct.; grandchildren, Brandi, Whitley and Shawn Lawson, Josh Fox (Shelly), Ciera & Austin Gillenwater all of Powhatan; three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Randy Lawson. The family will receive friends Monday from 6 to 8 pm at the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, 3215 Anderson Hwy. (Rt. 60), Powhatan. Funeral services will be held Tuesday 11 am in the Graceland Baptist Church. Interment Virginia Veterans Cemetery, Amelia. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Gentiva Hospice 800 Franklin Farms Dr. Suit 100 Richmond, VA. 23229 or Graceland Baptist Church 975 Dorset Rd. Powhatan, VA. 23139.
