Bob Purkey, Sr., 76, of Powhatan, went to be with the Lord November 16, 2015. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Janice Purkey; children, Robert "Dude" Purkey, II of Amelia, Lynn "Hopper" Purkey of Chesterfield, William "Tater Purkey of Amelia, Jessica "Peep" Crawford of Powhatan; brother, John; sisters, June, Helen, Ruth, Chank, Tiny; eleven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 to 8pm in the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, 3215 Anderson Hwy.(Rt.60), Powhatan and where service will be held Thursday 11 am. Interment private.
