Rosemary B. Jones

Jones, Rosemary B., 76, joined her beloved husband, Harold Douglas Jones, in the Kingdom of Heaven on April 22, 2015, after a courageous battle against heart disease. As she passed peacefully, she was surrounded by her devoted daughters and two loving nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Beatrice Benner, her brother Billy, and her sister Annie Pettway. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her daughters Cindy Hazelwood (Steve), Connie Gentry (Barry), Sherry Collins (fianc� Johnny Slayton) and step-daughter Wanda Kennedy (John). Her other survivors are her grandchildren Todd Gentry (Brandy), Melody Gentry, Clinton M. Collins (fianc� Katie Woodfin), Autumn Collins, Nicole and Jesse Hazelwood, and great grandchildren Austin Murdock, Marissa Gentry, Mary-Jane, Mariska, and Devlin Gentry, and Clinton David Collins; her nieces Patricia Davis (Allen), Loretta Blevins (Roger "Momma's buddy"), and her nephew Mark Pettway (Toni). Rosemary was a retiree of Philip Morris. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother (Nannie Rose) who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was a longtime Washington Redskins fan who loved to dance, have fun and was always the life of the party. A memorial ceremony will be held 2:00 p.m., April 27, at Powhatan United Methodist Church, 2253 Rosson Road, Powhatan, VA 23139. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the American Heart Association (Go Red for Women's Heart Health).
