Ruth Elder Hobson DeNoon

Ruth Elder Hobson DeNoon, 84, of Powhatan, went to be with the Lord July 21, 2012. She was the daughter of the late Edgar Lee Hobson and Emma Elenor Berger Hobson Palmore. She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Raymond Lester DeNoon; daughter, Carol D. Crump (Randy); grandsons, Eric Allen Crump, Adam Lester Crump; one great granddaughter, Phoenix Gabrielle Crump, son she never had, Shane Edward Bradley; sister, Mildred Webb (H.H.), brothers, Ellis Palmore (Colleen) and Robert Palmore (Eleanor). She was preceded in death by a step father, George Miller Palmore; brothers, Edgar (Snooks) Hobson, George Palmore and a sister, Virginia Halterman. Thank you to Va. Hospice and her caring nurses Joanne, Amy and a special thank you to a angel sent to help care for her Judy Glynn. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 8pm at the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, 3215 Anderson Hwy.(Rt.60), Powhatan. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11am in the Muddy Creek Baptist Church. Interment church cemetery.
