Ryan Austin Howell, “Bubba”, departed this life unexpectedly on May 10, 2023, in Richmond, VA; near his home at the age of 28. His family is deeply saddened by his sudden and untimely death.
Our beloved Ryan was born on June 28,1994, to Jennifer Londeree and Christopher Howell. Ryan grew up in his Powhatan home as the eldest of all his siblings including two which resided in Chesterfield VA. At twelve years old, Ryan accepted Christ as his personal Savior, and proclaimed his faith at St. James Baptist Church of Powhatan; where he remained a member. Ryan graduated from Powhatan High School with the class of 2013.
Throughout his lifetime, Ryan enjoyed several activities and hobbies such as wrestling, cooking, fishing, playing video games, and hanging out with his friends and cousins. Most recently, Ryan developed a love for anime, and had hoped to turn his passion for the art into a career.
Many would say that Ryan “never met a stranger”; and his bleeding heart was one that was full of care and compassion. Despite any obstacles or struggles that Ryan faced personally, his empathetic heart motivated his passion and never hesitated to use his own life experiences to help others. In his last few months of life, Ryan did exactly that by helping others in the community find resources and help they needed.
“We are confident, yes, well pleased rather, to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.” 2 Corinthians 5:8
Ryan is predeceased by his Nana Gwendolyn Adams, brother Devin Adams, uncle Wayne
Adams, uncle Shawn Bonaparte and cousin Veronica Cummings. He is survived by his father Christopher Howell, and his mothers Jennifer Stancil and Stephanie Howell, along with his loving grandmother and his rock Alzita Howell; god-mother Audrey Frenzley; and four sets of grandparents. Ryan also leaves behind three beautiful children; Isabella Marie Howell, Amelia Grace Ayers, and Austin Alexander Huffman; one brother Wayne Adams; two sisters, Amaya Taylor and Nadia Howell; one niece Harlynn Shaw, his closest friends Gregory McKoy (Cousin), Marcel Providence, and Bobby Brown along with a host of aunts, uncles, and friends.
*In lieu of flowers, the family requests those who wish to express their sympathy to consider making a donation to the GoFundMe account which was created in his honor to be presented to his three children in the later chapters of their lives.
