Sandra Wall Givens

Sandra "Sandy" Wall Givens, 74, of Powhatan, Virginia, left her earthly life and entered the hands of her Heavenly Father on Saturday, August 24, 2024. Sandy was born November 15, 1949, the daughter of Samuel Harding and Kathleen Edna Wall. She was a member May Memorial Baptist Church in Powhatan. She was also a graduate of Blacksburg High School, Class of 1967. Sandy at times held secretarial positions and served as a kindergarten aide; but her primary job in life was that of wife, mother, nana, and homemaker.

Sandy married James "Jay" William Givens on June 8, 1969 in Blacksburg, Virginia, recently celebrating their 55th anniversary.

Surviving with her husband are daughters Ginger Lewis (Tom) of Powhatan, Virginia, and Amy Adams (Shannon) of Cumberland, Maryland; granddaughters Denise Adams (Tyler), and Samantha Crowe (Eli); step-granddaughter Mariah Kunzelman (Larry); step-grandsons Zachary Lewis and Austin Lewis; brother Dennis Wall; and sister-in-law Delores Wall. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Phyllis Mae Peachey, and brother Samuel Marvin Wall.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 am Thursday, August 29, 2024 in Shenandoah Memorial Park, Winchester, Virginia.
