Sarah Lee Hatch Lester

Sarah Lee Hatch Lester, 77, of Powhatan, passed away June 26, 2019. Born Oct. 12, 1941, daughter of the late John and Mae Hatch, widow of Albert Lester, Sr. She is the mother of Sandra Martin (Donnie), Judy Payne (Jimmy), Henry Lester (Vicky) all of Powhatan, Albert Lester, Jr. of Chesterfield; ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Also, surviving are her sisters, Evelyn Davis of Az., Shirley Wright of Mechanicsville. She was preceded in death by one sister, Irene Starke. Sarah loved to help the needy and work in her church. The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday (tonight) in the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, 3215 Anderson Hwy.(Rt.60), Powhatan.
