Sherrell Michael Smith, Jr.

Sherrell "Mike" Smith, Jr., 69, of Powhatan, passed away June 11, 2016. He is survived by his wife. Yvonne Smith; two children, William C. Smith(Ginnie) of Powhatan, Amy V. Mabe of Richmond; six grandchildren, Tristan, Madison, Ethan, Allison, Seth and Sarah. Mr. Smith retired as a Police Lieutenant after thirty years with the City of Richmond and out of those years16 with the Swat Team. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 2 to 4pm in the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, 3215 Anderson Hwy.(Rt.60), Powhatan followed by a Memorial Service at 4pm.
