Shirley Estelle Hamilton

Shirley E. Hamilton, of Powhatan, went to be with the Lord, March 6, 2016. She is survived by her husband of 74 years, Forrest "Tippy" Hamilton; one son, Forrest K. Hamilton of Powhatan; brother, Donald Brewster of Tappahannock; sister, Dorothy Delvecchio of Ashland; grandson, Ian Hamilton; great grandson, Karter; many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Hamilton was a member of First Baptist Church, Powhatan for over thirty years where she taught Sunday school and sang in the choir. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 8pm in the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, 3215 Anderson Hwy.(Rt.60), Powhatan. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2pm in the First Baptist Church, Powhatan. Interment Old Powhatan Baptist Church Cemetery.
