Stephen Pierce Glazebrook

"Stephen Pierce "Steve" Glazebrook, born September 19, 1945, left this world on January 2, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, love, and unforgettable memories. Steve was a one-of-a-kind soul who had an uncanny ability to brighten the lives of everyone he encountered. 

Steve was a "hallmark" loving husband to his wife Stephanie Gray Glazebrook. 

He was the proud father of four daughters: Sheri Ogburn, Ginger Glazebrook, Stephanie Johnson, Mackenzie Glazebrook and embraced two "bonus kids" as his own: Jeffrey Brickhouse and Courtney Gray.

He was a granddaddy to 9 and a great- granddaddy to 1. 

His family was a testament to his boundless capacity for love and connection.

Never one to take life too seriously, Steve would have insisted that this obituary not follow the usual script. In fact, he probably would have written it himself-complete with jokes at his own expense and maybe even an ad for his celebration of life (a move he perfected with past birthday parties). Steve's humor was infectious, his stories legendary, and his ability to laugh at himself unmatched.

Though words can never fully capture the essence of someone like Steve, those who knew him will remember him as a man who lived life on his own terms. He brought joy wherever he went and left behind dirty paper towels, pipe tobacco, and a treasure trove of embarrassing stories that will undoubtedly be retold for generations.

A viewing will be held at Bennett & Barden Funeral Home Powhatan VA from 1:00 - 4:00 PM on Sunday January 5th. Steve's celebration of life will be held at PCC Powhatan location Thursday January 9th at 11:00 AM - a fitting tribute to a man who always knew how to throw a great party. May his memory bring smiles and comfort to all who were lucky enough to know him."
