Stephen C. Stepko

Stephen C. Stepko, 73, of Powhatan, Virginia, passed away at home, after a brief illness, with his family by his side, on Tuesday, November 7th, 2023. 

Steve was born on April 21st, 1950, in Perth Amboy, N.J. to Charles and Frances Stepko.

He was preceded in death by his loving mother, Frances Stepko; his beloved daughter, Chrissy Crittenden; his in-laws, Walter and Adele Warneski; and his brother-in-law, Walter Warneski.

He is survived by his high school sweetheart and devoted wife of 53 years, Claudia (Warenski) Stepko; son, Steve Stepko; father, Charles Stepko; brother, Donald Stepko (Belina); sister-in-law, Erin Murphy (David); sister-in-law, Cathy Warneski; three nephews, one niece and two great-nephews.

Steve was a proud Veteran, having served his country in the United States Navy. He retired from UPS in 2013, making time for travel, taking motorcycle road trips and finding places that served good food.

To know Steve was to love him. He had a fun, witty, and often sarcastic personality with a dry sense of humor that made him all the more endearing.

Steve will always be remembered as a wonderful husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend who will be forever missed.
