Walter Woodrow Bowman, "Goo-Goo", 76, of Powhatan, passed away July 22, 2013. He was preceded in death by his father, Mason Woodrow Bowman. He is survived by his wife, Hilda Pippin Bowman; his mother, Helen West Bowman; daughters, Cindy Mountcastle (Vonnie Hargraves), Theresa Davis; grandchildren, Greg Bowman, Trey Clarke (Jennie), Alex Hargraves (Sophie) and Mitchell Davis; four great-grandchildren, Sydney, Peyton, Anthony and Lilyanna; brother, Mason Bowman and one of many best friends, Richie Glover. A memorial service will be held Thursday 2 pm in the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, 3215 Anderson Hwy. (Rt. 60), Powhatan. Memorial contributions may be made to Children's Hospital.
