William Johnson

William “Bill” Johnson, a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2025, at the age of 59, after a courageous battle with cancer. Surrounded by family and friends, he spent his final day celebrating his birthday.

Bill is survived by his devoted wife, Roxanne Johnson; his loving mother, Constance “Connie” Schnarrs (Barden); his daughter, Tiffany Smith (Johnson), and her fiancé, Jay Wine; his brother, Robert “Bobby” Johnson, Jr.; several cousins; and countless friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert “Whistle” Page Johnson, Sr., and his stepfather, James “Jessie” Schnarrs.

A skilled diesel mechanic, Bill dedicated his career to mastering the art of repairing vehicles and equipment. While he took pride in his work, his greatest passion was found in the kitchen. Bill loved cooking and entertaining, and nothing brought him greater joy than sharing his delicious creations with those he loved.

A true outdoorsman, Bill found peace and happiness on or near the water. Known for his infectious smile and joyful laugh, he brightened every room he entered and left an indelible mark on all who knew him.

Bill’s family and friends will forever cherish the memories of his generous heart, his unwavering love, and his remarkable ability to bring people together.
